Help For Children Atlanta was founded in 2004 by James (Jay) Martin.  The branch's Committee of Hearts is chaired by Michelle Dobbins of Masters Capital Management, Ted Griffith of Eco Terra and Chad Hagan of Hagan Capital.

The Committee of Hearts holds an annual signature gala that is actively supported by the local alternative investment community.  Since inception, the branch has invested more than $1.1 million in the fight against child abuse, making nearly 70 grants to innovative community-based nonprofits that are working to prevent and treat child abuse within the metro Atlanta area.
